- 2014 has shown a continued increase in applications for food stamp programs such as CalFresh, currently averaging 7,922 participants per month. New applications in September are at 8,857, an increase of nearly 400 since last year.
- CalWORKs enrollments have maintained a steady state of decline since the end of 2012, hitting all-time lows in February 2014 with 1,158 applicants. September 2014 has shown growth of 64 applications since the previous month, but rates are virtually unchanged since September 2013.
- Phone calls, website access, and other types of service requests to Orange County 2-1-1 have increased greatly since Q2 2012, and currently retain a yearly average of 19,679 requests. October 2014 saw a total of 12,377 requests with 45 percent originating from internet methods of contact.
