- Orange County Transportation
Authority bus ridership levels have been drastically reduced since
2008. Although fiscal year 2011-2012 showed some slight growth,
the following two years have shown slight declines. Bus ridership
experienced muted growth in the first two months of 2015 before
experiencing a considerable jump in March 2015 reaching 4,137,916.
This represents an increase of almost 395,000 riders over February
2015, an increase of approximately 10 percent; yet compared to
March 2014 this represents a drop of almost 75,000 riders, or
a 2 percent decrease.
- Metrolink ridership rates have shown great performance in 2013, but struggled
slightly through 2014 with declining usage. The quarterly average
for ridership from October-December 2014 declined by 2.3 percent
since Fall 2014.
- Both Foothill and San Joaquin toll roads have trended upward through 2014 and
into 2015. February 2015 transactions on the Foothill road increased
by over 8,000 since February 2014, and San Joaquin is over 6,000
users above its ridership for the same time period.
