Authority bus ridership levels have been drastically reduced since
2008. The following years up to 2013 have remained steady at a
lower overall ridership level. Although fiscal year 2011-2012
showed some slight growth, 2012-2013 showed a slight decline.
June 2013 was a difficult period for bus ridership, dropping below
4,000,000 monthly riders for the first time since December 2012.
- Metrolink ridership rates have widely fluctuated since July 2008, but have reached
four-year highs in 2012 overall. Though ridership decreased between
November and December 2012, year-over-year ridership has greatly

though both are beginning to trend upward, with sustained growth
over the first four months of 2013. Both toll roads are below
their previous year’s usage rates.
