Authority bus ridership levels have been drastically reduced since
2008. Although fiscal year 2011-2012 showed some slight growth,
2012-2013 showed a slight decline. Ridership appreciation in January
2014 was mitigated by declining ridership in February, with users
totaling just fewer than 3.8 million for the month.
- Metrolink ridership rates have widely fluctuated since July 2008, but have reached
four-year highs in 2012 overall. Metrolink ridership growth has
shown great performance in 2013, peaking in September 2013 with
an estimated 352,654 rides combined across the three major Metrolink
routes: Orange County Line, Inland Empire – Orange County, and
the 91 Line. Since September 2013, ridership has steadily declined,
resulting in an estimated 291,543 rides in December 2013.
- Both Foothill and San Joaquin toll roads have trended upward through 2013, both
with roughly 10 percent increases in usage since the beginning
of the year. March 2014 transactions on both Foothill and San
Joaquin have noticeably increased since the beginning of 2014.
Both toll roads have grown by over 3,000 users month-over-month
